Unfortunately at this time we will not have capacity for any under 3s at Junior Church. For 9yrs and up Alison will send a separate invite out for the ACE group.
Age groups for Junior Church:
3-5yr olds - Pebbles
6-8yr olds - Rocks
We would encourage parents to stay in church whilst their child is in Junior Church if possible. However if your child is in the 3-5 year old (pre-school or reception), then one parent could accompany that child if required.
Of course families with their children are welcomed at any service in Church.

Children are welcome in church at any time for any service. Children are particularly catered for at the ten o’clock Sunday Communion service.
We offer a Junior Church at 10am on Sundays throughout the year except for August and Christmas / New Year. The children meet and start in church along with everyone else and leave during the first hymn to go down to the Old Stables for age specific activities. These can be based on the bible readings of the day or, when approaching major festivals, they work together over a number of weeks to produce something to share with the whole church. The children then re-join those in church in time to receive either communion or a blessing and before the end will be invited to share their work for that week with the congregation. Something enjoyed by all!
On a third Sunday in the month, there is no separate Junior Church – the children stay in church for the All Age Service where the prayers, readings and music are led by the children. On this Sunday we get together at 9am in church to rehearse the music, and at 9.30am in the Old Stables to practice the readings and prayers. All, young and not so young, are welcome to join in.

In Junior Church we offer
- A Creche for the under 3’s – parents remain with their children in the Stables;
- Pebbles ages 3-6 – lots of colouring in, sticking and fun with bible stories – parents welcome to stay with their children but it is good if the older children stay on their own, especially those already at school;
- Rocks ages 7-10 – craft activities and teaching about that day’s bible readings;
- Boulders ages 11-13 – a chance through discussion and activities to ask those questions about faith, and our practice of it, that challenge us all – young and old alike!
We have a team of some 15 adult volunteers who are all DBS checked, who all undertake Safeguarding training, and who take it in turns to lead the various groups.
We also have JJs , a relaxed fun get together for babies, toddlers ,pre-schoolers and their carers. It takes place monthly on a Friday, starting at 1:30pm in the Old Stables, and finishes in time for school pick up..
